As Assistant Warehouse Manager, you support the Warehouse Manager in the daily operations of our warehouse. You help ensure that all processes run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, while motivating the team to achieve high performance and accuracy.
This is a hands-on role that combines leadership with operational work on the warehouse floor.
- Manage and oversee temporary and permanent warehouse staff
- Delegate work among associates and manage schedules
- Support the Warehouse Manager in planning and coordinating daily operations
- Supervise and coach warehouse staff during shifts
- Ensure correct handling of inbound and outbound goods
- Monitor order picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Print, process, and manage inventory for all fulfillment orders
- Cancel orders within company systems when required
- Maintain warehouse supplies and ensure operational readiness
- Access and manage secure facilities, including label rooms
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with stock control
- Collaborate with the returns department, including opening and logging returns
- Maintain relationships with shipping carriers
- Help optimize workflows and improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
- Handle operational issues and resolve them quickly and practically
- Serve as the lead trainer for all new hires

- MBO/HBO level of working and thinking
- Warehouse operations and management experience (3+ years preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Forklift certification
- Experience with 3PL shipping software and WMS/ERP systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Hands-on mentality and problem-solving attitude
- Able to work well under pressure and manage priorities
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
